The Centenarians Preservation Society is producing the "Centenarians" videotape series for distribution to high schools and libraries, free of charge.

DESCRIPTION: This unique videotape series will illustrate how life has changed over the past 100 years. Told through the eyes of people who have lived in parts of 3 different centuries, it will help permanently preserve history. This important series of videotapes will begin filming as soon as we receive at least one third of the funding.

WHAT KINDS OF STORIES CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE IN THE CENTENARIANS INTERVIEWS?

A Centenarian who knows someone who fought in the Civil War
A Centenarian in the former Soviet Union explaining what life was like BEFORE, DURING and AFTER communism
A Centenarian who survived the Holocaust, describing his experiences
An African native who has lived her entire life in a remote tribe
Ordinary people telling their first-hand accounts what life was like before such luxuries as automobiles, light bulbs, running water, etc.
Many more stories, from a total of 30 Centenarians in all types of rural and urban areas from all 6 inhabited continents.

OBJECTIVES: The Centenarians videotape series will accomplish these 3 objectives:

1. To show what life was like 100 years ago, and how life has changed since then; as told from the perspectives of 30 Centenarians from all over the world.

2. To help permanently PRESERVE HISTORY.

3. To possibly DISCOVER SOME COMMON TRAITS that enable people to live such long lives.

WHO WILL RECEIVE THIS SET OF CENTENARIANS VIDEOTAPES?

The Centenarians will be distributed to 2,500 American high schools and libraries as soon as we're finished filming and producing them.

FUNDING STATUS: Actively seeking $122,628 in funding to finance the entire project. Can be set up as a tax-deductible donation or as an investment in return for equity.

Potential sponsors include:

Corporate sponsors that market their products to the elderly
100-year old companies (the Centenarians concept is an IDEAL MARKETING TIE-IN for centenarian companies)
Any individual who may have a centenarian or two in their family tree.

Filming will begin as soon as we receive at least one half of the needed funding.
